Stain Remover

A couple of months ago Zach jumped from a size 8 to a size 10. The pants we got had some serious stains in them so I threw them at the top of his closet to use as play pants. A few weeks ago I stumbled upon a stain remover post on Pinterest and pinned it for later. I figured I’d “eventually” get around to trying it. Oh man! I should’ve tried this as soon as I pinned it. I tried this on 3 pairs of pants and the pants are in order from 1-3 so you can see how big of a difference this stain remover makes. There isn’t a stain on the 3rd pair of pants in the top picture, it’s just a shadow. This mix is so simple and you probably already have this stuff sitting around your house.

1 cup of hydrogen peroxide

1/2 cup of dawn dish soap

1/2 cup of baking soda

You’ll mix it up to form a paste. It will seem a bit watery, but that’s okay. Put it on the stain, scrub it in with a toothbrush or dish brush, and let it sit for an hour. After the first 30 minutes I scrubbed the paste into it some more (you can add more at this time if you feel they need more.) After that you’ll throw it into the washer and wash it like you normally would. Now, I had to do it twice before the stains came completely out. Those stains were in there for god knows how long and they had been washed and dried multiple times. I’m super impressed and so glad that I don’t have to throw them back into the “play clothes” stash.
