Garbage Disposal Cleaner

Our house smelt BAD. Bad like something had died in it…..twice. We finally figured out that it was coming from our garbage disposal. I had to do this 2-3 times before the smell was completely gone and I’ll be using this once a month to keep everything running smoothly! So happy to find something that doesn’t use harsh chemicals to deep clean.

You’ll need:

-Baking soda

-Essential oil scent of your choice (I used lemon)

-Distilled white vinegar

*Directions*

-Sprinkle the drain hole with several tablespoons of baking soda and add a few drops of essential oil to the baking soda. Let this sit for about 5 minutes.

-Pour white vinegar into the drain, on top of the baking soda until it starts to bubble up. Let it bubble up and clear out. If there is more baking soda left in the drain, pour a little more vinegar in and let it bubble again. Repeat this step until all of the baking soda in the drain disappears.

-Run hot water down the drain for a few minutes after all the bubbling stops to clear everything out.
