Cream Of Chicken Soup Substitute

{Ingredients}

• 2 tablespoons of Smart Balance butter

• 3 tablespoons of unbleached all-purpose flour

• 1/2 cup of low-sodium chicken broth

• 1/2 cup of 2% Lactaid

• 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper

{Directions}

• In a small saucepan, melt butter over med-low heat. Whisk in flour and let cook for 1-2 minutes.

• Slowly stir in chicken broth, then milk. Whisk until it begins to thicken. Let is simmer for a few minutes. Season with ground black pepper.
