Slow Cooker Loaded Potato Soup



-6 potatoes (about 7 cups)

-cream of chicken soup substitute (located on my blog)

-14.5 oz can of chicken broth

-2 tablespoons of garlic powder

-1 1/2 cups of water

-1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

-2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese

-1 cup of milk

-1 tablespoon of flour

-16 oz. bacon slices, cooked and crumbled into bits


-Make the cream of chicken soup substitute and set aside.

-Wash, peel, and dice the potatoes. Place in the bottom of a slow cooker.

-Add cream of chicken soup substitute, chicken broth, water, garlic powder, and black pepper. Cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. You want the potatoes to be tender.

-An hour before you’re ready to serve the soup, add 1 1/2 cups of the shredded cheddar cheese Whisk together flour and milk in a small bowl and pour into the slow cooker.

-Garnish with the remaining cheese and crumbled bacon bits.
