Shepherd’s Pie



-6 cups of mashed potatoes

-Garlic salt

-1 lb. of ground beef

-1 tsp. of minced garlic

-3 tbsp. of flour

-1 tbsp. of tomato paste

-1 tbsp. of worcestershire sauce

-1 tbsp. of soy sauce

-1 tsp. of ground black pepper

-1 can (14 oz.) of chicken broth

-2 cups of frozen mixed vegetables


-Make your mashed potatoes and set them aside.

-Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

-Brown ground beef with minced garlic over medium-high heat. Once your meat is completely cooked, stir in flour and cook it until it’s all mixed in.

-Stir in tomato paste, worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, pepper and chicken broth. Simmer for 5-6 minutes or until sauce is thick. Pour in frozen vegetables and continue to cook until everything is mixed in.

-Line your baking dish with aluminum foil and pour beef mixture into a 9×13 baking dish. Put your mashed potatoes on top and smooth them out. Sprinkle garlic salt on top. Cook for 20-25 minutes.
