Cake Batter Chocolate Chip Cookies



-1 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour

-1 1/4 cup of classic white boxed cake mix (you only need the dry mix)

-1/2 tsp. of baking soda

-1/2 tsp. of salt

-3/4 cup of unsalted butter (room temperature)

-1/2 cup of granulated sugar

-1/2 cup of light brown sugar

-1 egg (room temperature)

-1 1/2 tsp. of vanilla extract

-1 cup of chocolate chips

-1/2 cup of sprinkles


-Sift together flour, cake mix, and baking soda. Set bowl aside.

-Using a hand mixer cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla and mix it together. Add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until everything is combined. Add the chocolate chips and sprinkles. Mix on low until everything is incorporated.

-Cover bowl with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and refrigerate dough for at least two hours. (DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP)

-After your 2 hours are up set your oven to 350 degrees and line your cookie sheets with aluminum foil or a baking mat. Use a cookie dough scoop or make 1 1/2 in. balls of dough with your hands. Place dough on pans and bake cookies for 8-10 minutes. Allow cookies to cool for 15-20 minutes before you eat them.
