Limited Quantity Mermaid Cup

Philly Cheese Steak Subs

{Ingredients}

  • 1 lb. of steak, thin sliced
  • 1 tbsp. of canola oil
  • 2 tsp. of garlic pepper
  • 2 tsp. of minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp. of worcestershire sauce
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced {Ones with 3 bumps are the best for cooking with}
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 1 french loaf (You could also do small sub rolls)
  • 2 tbsp. of Smart Balance butter
  • 8 oz. of provolone cheese slices

{Directions}

  • Heat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Heat canola oil in a pan. In a bowl mix together worcestershire sauce, garlic pepper, and minced garlic. Add steak, bell pepper, and onion to your pan and pour your worcestershire mix over everything.
  • Cook until meat is cooked to your liking. Put butter on the French loaf and top with the meat and cheese. Cook in the oven until the cheese has melted.

June Workout Plan

The warmer weather is starting to come around so get out there and get some fresh air. Go on a 15-30 minute walk and just enjoy nature. One of these workouts calls for a step stool. You can get the workout ones or just a normal one. You could probably even stack some blankets on top of each other to use if you don’t want to buy one.

A note about me

I created Barbells & Brownies to join people together through food and fitness. So many people struggle to create menus and monthly fitness plans. So many people will start a program for a week and then give up because they have no support. Barbells & Brownies is your support. I’m here to keep you motivated. Recipes are hard to do sometimes, but I deliver tried and true recipes to you. I give you monthly workout plans that you can do in your home, in a hotel, or heck, you could even do them outside if you want. There should be good balance between food. You shouldn’t feel like you have to starve yourself or feel like food has to taste like cardboard for you to achieve your goals. I believe in being able to have access to to healthy food plans and recipes. I believe you should have access to workout plans and motivational support no matter what your income is. There are multiple fitness programs that charge for their services and they are amazing programs, but I think that if you can’t afford them then you shouldn’t feel like you have no place to turn to. Barbells & Brownies will always be in your corner. My business is for men and women of all shapes and sizes coming from all different backgrounds. If you’re trying to better yourself and better your life then you will never be turned away.

Salsa Verde Chicken Enchiladas

{Ingredients}

{For the chicken}

  • 4 cups of shredded chicken
  • 1 tbsp. of avocado oil
  • 2 tsp. of cumin
  • 1 tsp. of oregano
  • 1 tsp. of onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp. of coarse sea salt
  • Juice from 1/2 a lime

{For the enchiladas}

  • 1 container of salsa verde
  • 10 corn tortillas
  • 2 cups of shredded mexican cheese

{Directions}

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a bowl, combine shredded chicken, olive oil, cumin, oregano, onion powder, sea salt, and lime juice.
  • Place seasoned chicken onto an aluminum foil lined baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Keep the oven on once the chicken is done.
  • Warm corn tortillas for 45 seconds in the microwave to soften them.
  • In a baking dish, begin to assemble enchiladas. Spoon some of the baked chicken into a tortilla, add shredded mexican cheese, and roll it up like a taquito. Make sure the seam side is down. Continue until all tortillas have been filled.
  • Pour the salsa verde evenly over all of the enchiladas and top with more shredded cheese. Bake for 10-15 minutes.

Rotisserie Chicken Quesadillas

This makes 5 quesadillas.

{Ingredients}

  • One rotisserie chicken {I use the family size garlic butter one}
  • Flour tortillas
  • 2 cups of shredded Mexican cheese

{Directions}

  • Pull the skin off of the chicken and put it into the trash {or eat it, whichever you choose!}
  • Pull the chicken apart into small pieces.
  • Put your tortilla in a pan and cover it with the shredded cheese and chicken.
  • Close it and cook until golden brown on both sides.

Coconut Berry Smoothie Bowl

{Ingredients}

  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups of milk {or a milk alternative}
  • 3 cups of frozen mixed berries
  • 1-2 frozen bananas

{For topping}

  • Fresh blueberries
  • Fresh kiwi
  • Fresh strawberries
  • Banana
  • Love crunch dark chocolate macaroon granola

{Directions}

  • Add everything into your blender, except for your toppings. Blend until smooth.
  • Add your toppings and eat immediately.
